Very rare and natural sounding Wright Sound mono 300B amplifiers are in very good shape. These amps are dead quiet and sound wonderful. Comes with lightly used pair of Shugang 300B tubes. This amp outperforms amps costing a lot more money. 

The previous owner had Don Allen modify these amps so it differs from the standard mono 8's. Don voiced these amps so they are quieter than the original versions and all nuances and all the musical details are captured naturally when you listen to these amps. I cannot stress more how important voicing an amplifier is. I used to own another way more expensive Don Allen 300b amp with esoteric large power and output transformers and honestly if you closed your eyes and listened you could not distinguish one amp from the other- both sounded great. I ended up keeping these and have had them for years. 

They are made the labor intensive hand assembled and point to point wired which sounds better than ones using circuit boards.  This pair had been tweaked by Don Allen and uses 6BK7and 6BY5 tubes in each amp. Don voiced these amps so well- they really sound natural and capture all nuances of timbre.

Please note: The previous owner replaced one of the power transformers on one of the amp with an equivalent transformer. My critical ear hears no difference between the two amps.
