Tube amplifiers- Cary Audio CAD-211 FE Monoblock pair

These beautiful amps are one of a kind in that the previous owner is a mastering engineer who had them upgraded by a very reputable audio mod house, Sonic Craft in Texas. Here is what was modified to improve them over the stock models: Upgraded harnesses and rectifiers (Cary engineering blessed), upgraded the power supplies and recouping bypasses with Sonic Stage 3 caps, The coupling positions were improved with Sonic Platinum caps (teflon) and Miflex Copper PIOs.

These amps are built to last and will last, as the tubes included are either new, less than 3 months, or less than 200 hours of use! They are not 9/10 because I am the second owner, and have a very minor spec on the faceplate of one amp, otherwise they look amazing! 

What you get: The original crates and extra tubes. I have three extra 845 output tubes and a reserve set of 6CA7's and 6SL7's. The 300B's that are installed are Emission Lab 300BXLS (worth $2000). The 6CA7's and 6SL7's I've installed less than 3 months ago, are from Upscale Audio's private "stash" and they noticeably improved the soundstage! Also have two sweet analog bias meters for you (see photo).  

What you'll hear: Big wide open bass that seems unconstrained. Their realism brings the musicians into the room with you. Vocals are pinpoint and stunning. Plenty of slam here.

The amps have power to drive too, 70 Watts a channel Class A in triode and if you push them they automatically go up to 150 watts a channel Class AB. They have balanced XLR inputs as well as single ended RCA's and the balanced inputs are fully differentially- balanced construction! Why mono blocks? Having separate power supplies means each can be much bigger than in a single integrated chassis, meaning, more dynamic power and quieter. Also, crosstalk is impossible so separation is better, meaning your soundstage and imaging will be larger and more well-defined. But don't take my word for it, THESE ARE TRANSFORMATIVE components that will rock your world!
