VTL MB 450 Signature 1999 version

These amps were new in November 1999. I bought them in November 2007 and had them sent directly from the seller to Marvin's Electronics in the DFW area to have them checked out. I haven't used these for the last three years and in the previous four years I didn't put 500 hours on them. These are VERY good amps, dead quiet and they worked well with every speaker I used with them - MBL 121, Tannoy Westminsters, Focal monitors and others. They go great with the Bolzano Vilettri speakers I have listed. They sound best to me when in Triode mode (225 wpc), but still good when in Triode (450 wpc). I just sent them to Ben at HEAR in NYC to have him check them out before I listed them. Copy of his invoice in the pictures and included with the amps. He also biased each amp. The tubes are packed in bubble wrap inside each amp. That is the slight white look behind the grills on each amp. Original power cords, one extra VTL tube, spare fuses and owners manual included. The 6550 tubes are Winged "C". I never changed out any tubes and I don't know how old they are. I told myself that I would never sell these, but I am going over to the dark side, and using solid state for my 2 channel home theater. These come with a pair of amp stands. They are 20 x 16 x 3. Made out of cherry or maple, I can't remember. Bought them here on Agon. These work well. I have used them under many different components. Free shipping, FedEx Ground to the lower 48, and PayPal included. These amps weigh almost 90 pounds each. Local pick up is always better or I can deliver them if I am in town. Rated 7 for you nit pickers due to age and some slight scratches on the bottom of one amp. Otherwise they look new. As always, if you can't afford these, don't waste your time or mine. No trades. No stupid offers. The shipping cost on all this is around $300, so stop making such low offers.
