All vintage tube complement: Four 12AX7 ( two Telefunken Germany & two Sylvania black plate)Two 12AU7 -RCA USA Two 12BH7 – Sylvania USA Two 5U4GB rectifiers – GE USA Four vintage US-made Sylvania 6L6GC and an extra set of power tubes: a quad of vintage US metal 1614/6l6 tested and strong and matched! All tubes are tested, strong and balanced with a calibrated TV7 tube tester. The power tubes are additionally tested with digital Maximatcher in order to be properly matched by pair for current draw, essential for these push pull amps.

Cosmetically : Chassis professionally sanded, re-chrome-plated and re-printed with epoxy ink (these are the ORIGINAL chassis, not the cheap repros you find on ebay).
Black bases professionally powder-coated & transformers professionally painted (no smell).

Electronically :Complete electronic restoration: all resistors replaced with same-value-as-originals carbon comp resistors, all new caps (combination of Sprague Atom electrolytic, new Paper In Oil caps for coupling, polypropylene & mylar for bypass, silver mica for small values), new, German-made multi-section, 525v/550v can capacitor (power supply filtering), the tallest (for similar look as originals) and most expensive on the market (nothing glued to bottom of chassis — your Mcintosh amps deserve better). Pots cleaned and deox’d for noise free operation, new power cords & RCA jacks, all voltages checked and well within range of McIntosh factory specs.

All transformers are original McIntosh of course.Warm, musical, as only vintage McIntosh can be. Super beefy, enormous soundstage, unbelievable detail & dynamics. Transformers run remarkably cool. No hum, no noise.
