For sale a pair of
Hurricanes DT MK2 from Antique Sound Labs (230 volts) in excellent condition.
This is the newest and upgraded MK2 version of the legendary Hurricane
monoblock power amps, (the initial MK1 version was introduced back in 2002/2003).
Since then, these amps are stated as a "giant killer" and "tremendous
value". They can be easily compared to amplifiers costing several times
more.
There are rave reviews and
positive recommendations by users; no need for further description, i
suppose...this is the one you're looking for!!
The newest MK2 version is
even better in sound, with better materials and mechanical construction, XLR
output and also has a more affordable shape.
Having 200 watts of
astonishing power (normal mode) and 100 watts (triode mode), these amplifiers
can drive at its best almost any speaker in the market.
They come with KT88 tubes (8 x stock tubes mixed with 8 x Sovtek) resulting in
a very dynamic yet natural sound.
They've been used for 300-350 hours. Original boxes and manual included.
I'm going to move to a SET tube amp, since my new speaker is very sensitive and matches better with low power Class A amps.
For EU buyers the price is 2500 Euros.

Questions for the seller |

I am from Germany. From which country do you send the hurricanes. Did you ever made a technical service. Do they run without any problemss. How old are the tubes. Are you the first owner. They are for sale since 2012. I would pay in Euro. Which is currently the best price. The Euro conversion from USD should be at around 2400 Euro. Thanks for a feedback. I live in Thessaloniki / Greece. They've been on technician last year for check and bias adjustment. The tubes are 4 years old and have 300-350 hours on them (in triode mode, being a heavier load for the tubes compared to pentode mode).
I'm the first owner and tried to sell them in the past. Unfortunately, had very limited time to respond to potential buyers and re-list the listing. Very busy last 2 years and limited time to listen music. The price in Euro represent the currency at the time of the listing. Since then, the currency conversion has been changed (today is ca. 2425).
Land shipment by trucks is recommended because of big and heavy boxes in order to avoid several (and dangerous) loading / uploading of the amps in airports.
