Nagra Classic Preamp, Preamp w/ VFS Platform

Nagra Classic Pre, with the VFS platform.

Purchased new from UK dealer early 2023, and been left powered on since it landed. I’m the first owner.

Always babied, but I did find the smallest blemishes on the top front edge of the Preamp and a few tiny scuffs on the VFS upper plate. Please see the last pictures, they are the tiniest of flaws and totally invisible from more than a few feet away. Due to these, and the run-time, I have scored the unit down to 8/10 to reflect this, although the Classic Pre does indeed look mint from any sitting chair and even up close.

The original remote commands were cloned to my own universal remote since day one, the remote and all other box goodies are pristine and included with the sale.

Sounds fantastic as expected from a Nagra, no surprises here! Silent blacks, and extremely neutral. Everything works as intended, the dials and switches are truly a joy to behold and use.

The tubes have 8,765 hours on them, up-time is the same, plugged in and on for almost 1 year to the day. I will include for the new owner a specially ordered new set of tubes, precision matched to the third decimal place from the Tube Doctor in Berlin.

Selling as upgrade to the top of their line had to happen.
