Sennheiser HD 540 Reference

Your chance to own a blast from the past (1980's). These were, at the time, Sennheiser's top of the range headphone. The are light, comfortable and sound great. You'll still find people singing there praises on the net. These are the 300ohm version.

These are in amazing condition. Truly, they look like new. I suspect that they have lived most of their life in the box.

The cable has been upgraded and the original is included. The new cable is not super fancy, but an audible improvement. The earpads are also new. The old ones are included but the foam has deteriorated. Please note that the pads are not fitted securely as I did not want to use glue and was unable to discern a fixing mechanism. The pads always stay in place when listening and rarely come off when not in use. You, however, may be a better headphone tech than I am!
