Two McIntosh MC 2300 Amplifiers

The McIntosh MC 2300 will forever be remembered for its place in the Grateful Dead's Wall of Sound. Note, these two units have no such provenance, but they do have the same legendary power. The 600-watt monoblock or 300-watt per channel ratings have always been considered conservative numbers. These have been taken care of within my family since the 1980s and have been well appreciated.

They do come with two owner's manuals and a service manual. There are also sturdy photocopies of them so they could be referenced while preserving the originals.

I performed an audio test just before posting this listing, and they are in working condition. They went through reconditioning about twenty years ago, and they have always been working fine. However, they are not cosmetically pristine. These were lovingly used for many years, and so have some scratches, as shown in the photos. Both units are included in the pictures.

There have been no innovations in technology that compete with the undistorted power of these units. Be a part of history with an amp without compromise.

They are available for pick up from my place in the Fort Worth area. They are built for quality and longevity, so when making arrangements keep in mind their astonishing weight at 128 pounds (58 kg). Yes, each. I will accommodate a pick up for freight if you set it up, but they will be picked up unboxed and not crated. There is no warranty by me once it is shipped.

You are welcome to bring equipment to perform an audio test at pick up. I will have the amps, power cables and an outlet. Please bring anything else you would need for a good test. That would mean something for the RCA input and speakers with speaker wire.
