Cardas Audio Golden Presence 0.5 Meter RCA

Selling my legacy Cardas cables looking to move into the Clear family.

For years, I preferred Golden Presence to Reference.  Presence arguably better Golden Reference for rock and electronic music, and for conveying the emotional content of a recording. In other words, these are the more musical cables from Cardas’ old Reference line. I found them more open with bigger soundstaging.  Presence have a little more bloom than the new Clear line, which many listeners will prefer, especially with solid-state electronics. These were a happy medium, providing the musicality of the old Cross line with the increased resolution of the Reference line.  They have less tendency to sound bright or overly full.  Neutral Ref and Golden Ref are much more demanding of setup.  They were also the last cable made in the old Reference line, and some of the design features, such as concentric geometry in the speaker cable, as well as their great openness and sense of neutrality, carried over into the Clear line.  These were the thickest interconnect Cardas made until Clear Beyond.  Some sources say Presence interconnect shares the star-quad geometry of Beyond.  So named because they have the ability, or the sense, of putting you in the presence of the recorded event,  Given their overall neutrality, I’ve found they pair will both with power cords like Golden Reference as well as anything from the Clear power lineup.  There is a good thread on the forum here discussing these cables and their soundstaging prowess, as well as a review at Stereo Times and Audiodrom.
