VPI Aries 1 turntable with JMW 10.5i tonearm

Up for sale is my beloved VPI Aries I turntable.

This is the first generation of the Aries with the TNT V platter - a 25lb sandwich of lead, aluminum and acrylic. Included is the JMW 10.5i tonearm with adjustable VTA and Nordost Valhalla wiring. Outboard motor with belt.

Also included is a Dynavector 10X5 cartridge with approximately 200 hours.

Due to the nature of this product, I would prefer to sell this locally, or I can drive up to 2-3 hours away if we want to meet half-way. I can ship, but the size of the box - and the resulting shipping charges - will make this an expensive proposition.

Conditon: A solid 8/10. There is a slight bubble/dish on the left hand size about half the size of my pinky nail but it's not noticeable until I get close. I tried to get a picture of it. Everything works flawlessly.

Sound: Solid, quiet. and with a startling dynamic range. This turntable makes lower models sound like a washy mush - the clean dark blackgrounds are like digital, but without the glare of grit I normally associate with that format.
