UPDATE: the Pro-Ject tonearm is missing the counter balance

The turntable comes with the original box
The turntable is in decent shape (no major scratches) but there are marks near the motor (see picture). The motor was replaced relatively recently and has few hours on it.
The tonearm was upgraded to a clearaudio unify tonearm. It is a Unipivot made of carbon fiber and stainless steel (beautiful german engineering). As with all unipivot tonearms, it is a bit finicky to set up but once this is done the sound is outstanding.
The mat was upgraded to a ringmat. It is in rather poor shape (one ring is missing from the bottom but it can be glued back) but it does the job.
A clearaudio virtusoso cartridge is mounted on but the stylus is broken, so the cartridge will have to be replaced or the stylus will have to be changed (assuming that this can be done).
Overall, a significant upgrade to the MMF-7 turntable but a used package with a few problems. A great entry level package.
The original ProJect aluminum tonearm is included but it is missing its counterweight.

| Do you have the rest of the parts to the original Pro-Ject carbon 9 arm? (It is missing the 2 weights [anti skate and counter weight] and the lifter that attaches above the cartridge). Note that it is not the Pro-Ject carbon 9 arm (I believe that it is made of aluminum). I have the anti skate but cannot find the counter weight (no idea how this happened; maybe lost during the last move). I am going to update the ad and will keep you updated if I find it. |
