Up for sale is an Audio Refinement Complete tuner, in silver finish. This AM/FM tuner is in clean operational and cosmetic condition.

Fans of the YBA line will know that the Complete series was a house brand of YBA, marketed as a mainstream product line a few years ago. The Complete components were developed in France by YBA, then sent to Taiwan for manufacture.

But there’s nothing cheap about this tuner, its construction or sound. The cosmetics are almost luxurious- a sturdy aluminum case, big fat front control buttons, a nice blue display.

I find it a little harder to describe the sound of tuners than some other sources, since they all work within the limitations of the over-the-air signal. But for the Complete Tuner, I’d say it’s totally consistent with the rest of the Complete line.

Which means it sounds natural, relaxed and forgiving, to me. It’s easy to listen to. As far as sensitivity and all the rest of the technical RF specs, I’d just say it seems to be able to find and separate stations at least as well as any other tuner I’ve had.

This particular unit is a backup that’s received little time in the rack, the last several years. There are a few smudge marks on the case top, and there might be a few other random grazes somewhere. The face is very fine, and in the rack it’ll look clean and very presentable.

Serial No.: T00887. No date of manufacture marked. This package includes the manufacturer box, power cable, and papers. No optional remote, but if you have one for other AR components, it’ll work the tuner too.
