Dared Audio VP-80 - superb 80+ watt tube integrated, pristine condition - PRICE DROP

Ridiculously excellent 40+ watt per channel push/pull integrated in pristine condition. It is indistinguishable from new and is undoubtedly one of the best audio bargains on the planet. No syrupy tube coloration, frequency extreme rolloff or euphony here; this amp has gobs of power and is almost alarmingly adept at imaging, PRaT, muscular slam and pure emotional engagement. It handily trounces every other integrated I've owned, tube or solid state, including very expensive and esoteric ones. I believe these were part of a limited production run and are now sold out.

Massive transformers help this overbuilt champ tip the scales at 50+ pounds...it is a tank, to be sure, but it's also beautiful with wood fascia and paneling, chrome frame, gold patina and faceplate VU meters. I am its first and only owner; the amp has spent a very short life in a pet / smoke / child-free professional environment. I've never had to turn the volume knob past 10 o'clock lest I risk hearing damage and the ire of my colleagues. Included wood-body remote governs volume. Switchable voltage, 4 and 8 ohm speaker taps, RCA subwoofer output , 3 x RCA and 1 x 3.5mm inputs.

All original tubes AND a near-new (350-ish hours of use) matched quad of Valve Art KT66's--which take the amp to another level--are included, as is insured ground shipping to any US street address (no PO boxes). Tube cage is, of course, also included but I think the amp looks much better without it. Auditions and/or local pickup in Los Angeles welcome. Only reason for sale is a desire to try Dared's 2A3C amplifier with my high-sensitivity speakers. I have a sinking feeling I'll regret it, but such is the life of an audiophool.
