Conrad Johnson PV-12L Line Stage preamplifier Wonderful sounding tube preamp

Wonderful sounding line stage preamplifier in excellent condition with light use, tubes are strong. This preamp has bested much more expensive preamps one on one. You will be very happy with it. Stereophile high class B- noted for rich, natural sounding midrange that realistically conveys voices.

The PV12L gives a warm neutral sound. It doesn’t "flavor" the sound in any exaggerated way that I can tell. It does offer excellent dynamics and clarity. What can I say? "It just sounds right."

The PV-12 superseded the PV11. Like its predecessor, it featured zero feedback circuits, and passive equalization in the phono stage. For the PV12, critical plate resistors are a special laser-trimmed metal foil type chosen for their extremely low noise and low inductance. The balance control is an eleven-step switch incorporating discrete resistors.

The PV-12L is a line stage version of the PV-12 without the phono section.
