Carver VTA180M Monoblock Amplifiers

Designed by the legendary Bob Carver, these
beautiful VTA180M monoblock amplifiers produce the distinctive, saturated sound that can only be heard from tube amplifiers. Tube lovers take note: Smooth
and engaging audio will be at your fingertips with the VTA180s. Producing 200
watts per channel, the VTA180s can comfortably drive the most inefficient
speakers. 
These monoblocks feature high impedance inputs, an automatic DC restorer circuit, a
"set and forget" bias adjustment, and have a low idle current which
greatly increases output tube life. They have ultra-wide bandwidth output
transformers with interleaved windings capable of reproducing the most nuanced
voice, as well as huge peak output capacity. Selectable feedback controls allow
the user to change the sound of the amplifier from vintage classical to modern
contemporary. Each amplifier has six KT88 output tubes, a 12AX7 input tube, a
12AT7 predriver tube and a 6AL5 tube. They feature hand done point-to-point
wiring and are made in the USA. The black glossy finish has attractive silver
flecks and is in excellent condition. This item is identical to the Cherry 180s; the only difference being chassis color. Any reviews of the Cherry 180s are applicable to these amplifiers.
