Selling my Carver VTA-20S tube amplifier.
20 watts of pure heaven. Bob Carver design. It uses EL-84M which is a higher voltage / bias tube that allows for 20 watts output.
It is in excellent condition. I don't see any marks on it, but I suspect that there may be a few minor ones. It has the standard black metal flake type finish. Looks great. I have it rated as 8/10 to be conservative.
It will include extra tubes (output set and a few pre-driver). It will ship in its Original Factory box and packing and that will be placed in a 2nd larger box.
These come up very rarely, but if they do, some jump on them in order to get a pair as they can be bridged to 40 watts mono output.
I used this amp to drive a pair of Tyler Acoustic Taylo monitors with great success. Smooth presentation, fantastic imaging and very nice bottom end for 20 watts.
I am moving my system to a different room, so I am going to larger, less efficient speakers and larger amp.
Asking $ 1,225. Buyer pays shipping. Assume shipping weight is ~ 42 - 43 lbs.
