Audio Research SP10 Preamp MKII
My SP10 is up for sale. This unit has been the anchor for my system for a very long time.
A friend purchased this for me from a dealer on Audiomart (a paper publication from long ago). I believe this was a demo unit as the dealer had used rack mounting and shows the results of such on the faceplate. There are round impressions on the bottom bolt holes as seen on the close-up photos of the preamp. They do not capture well on film and cannot be seen from 2 feet but they are present. The power unit has such issues as well. All lettering in fully intact on both the face and back panels. Both units are nice and clean.
Both units are stock. ARC has conducted minor repairs when necessary. Never stacked, run on an isolated power line, never stored, nonsmoking family, although there is a dog for the last few years but she was never allowed to touch the system unless I was in attendance, and then only during a blue moon! All functions work as intended.
My unit has returned to the mother ship on three occasions. On the last occasion ARC placed a small sticker on the back denoting this unit as a MKII as seen in the picture. The first two tube sockets were also replaced, so all are nice and tight.
The unit will ship in the ARC double boxes with the original manual, umbilical cord, and all supporting paperwork from ARC.
ARC is a great company to deal with and fully support their products. Just a heads up-they do not convert voltage.
The current tube arrangement is included. There are ~ 30 hours on these tubes. These include 6 Russian 6H23N EB and 6 6H23N Rocket logo.

Shipping must include insurance. Signature will be required. Pick up is always welcome so you may inspect and listen before any commitment.
There will be two boxes both 18x23x10. The power supply weighs in at 26 lbs and the preamp at 21 lbs so you can calculate shipping charges.
