Anthem Pre 2L Special Edition tube preamp with Remote Price Reduced!

Very good condition Anthem Pre 2L Linestage for sale. This is the Special Edition with much better parts that really make a difference in an already great sounding preamp.

   It has also has a motorized alps Blue Velvet potentiometer which did not come standard with the SE upgrade but this makes the sound even more clear and sweeter.  The adjustable gain switch was replaced with a single Allen Bradley resistor.  Most electrolytics were also upgraded with Elna or nichicon fine gold.  Remote included.  This is a linestage only preamp with no phono.  It has an HT bypass and also a high current headphone amplifier which includes the tubes in the circuit and of course also responds to the remote control. There are some slight scratches on the case but the faceplate is beautiful. 

ADVANCED CIRCUITRY:

The PRE 2L's three stage non-inverting circuit topology is configured as a
cathode coupled amplifier driving a current-sourced cathode follower. The
outcome is a design which has extremely low output impedance and distortion,
combined with an extended frequency response and low noise floor.  


POWER SUPPLY: Of equal importance is the PRE 2L's over-achieving power
supply design, featuring 6 stages of power supply regulation, 2 of which are
high voltage, precision tracking shunt types - a trickle-down technology from
the Sonic Frontiers' LINE-3 reference line stage preamplifier!


HEADPHONE CAPABILITY: The PRE 2L features a high current headphone
amplifier which is located after the preamplifier stages, thus the signal path
does utilize tubes. As a result of its design configuration, the PRE 2L can
adequately drive the lowest impedance headphones on the market today. 


COMPREHENSIVE FEATURES: With remote control, dual main outputs, a
full EPL/tape loop, SSP bypass loop, headphone amplifier, 4 inputs, mono/stereo and mute/operate switches, the PRE 2L
remains flexible to the needs of the widest variety of today's demanding
audiophile consumer.
