Weight Enhanced type features tonearm bearing coupling strengthen the characteristics, this product originated from the Rega itself.  The early RB300 counter weight  compare to the mid to late RB300 the counter weight  is at least twice as big in the latter version.  This kind of counterweight  improve the stability of sound, yet with non-noticeable enhancement.

• Centroid change type counterweight  

Centroid change type features change to the tonearm geometric centroid which drops the centroid a few mm, but with a static balanced tonearm it means that you can make a few mm into a design similar to dynamic balanced tonearm (Japan audio Technica first raised this argument).

P.S. - Does dynamic balanced differ from static balanced?  Both types of tonearm have lots of advocates, For me, the dynamic balanced tonearm create a warm sound, in terms of tonearm design speaking it increase mid bass and bass, but a lot of people feel this sounds relatively fake!
