Velodyne HGS-15 REDUCED - Amp Just Rebuit By Velodyne

You don't see too many HGS15's up for sale. You wouldn't see mine either except for the fact the wife doesn't think it goes with our other furniture.  I will grant her that when we got it we had a much larger family room (25 x 30) and it does look a little out of place in the room we have now. After 25 years of marriage I know this is a battle I am not going to win. I wish she would have said so BEFORE I just paid $400+ to get the built-in amp serviced by Velodyne (see below).

The unit was manufactured in 2000.  On the Audiogon scale I guess it would have to rate 6/10 but it looks closer to a 7. There are some minor scratches on top and a few scuffs on the sides but the grill is 100% and you cant see anything unless your right up close to the speaker. There is a small spot along the bottom I touched up. The amp has just been serviced by Velodyne (pretty much replaced as I understand it) at a cost of $422.94) so it's got many years of life left. For some reason after the service center re-assembled it the blue LED no longer comes on. That should be an easy fix and in no way affects performance of the sub.

I paid $2500 for the sub and the replacement model (with Digital Drive) is now $4500. I am flexible and would consider interesting trades toward it, primarily front speakers with a burl / poplar/ maple finish. Yeah, she wants me to get rid of my fronts at some
point too...

It's a big, heavy speaker so local pickup is obviously preferred but I will have it packed and shipped by the UPS store to CONUS.  I haven't sold anything on Audiogon yet but I have a perfect 100% on eBay under the name "BADMEYERS."  I just got tired of paying the eBay fees...
