Sony SCD-XA5400ES CD/SACD Player

Stereophile Class-A CD/SACD player in like-new condition.
No longer in production, getting harder to find.
Purchased on reputation and planned to use with equipment I can't seem to obtain.
The Sony can't strut its stuff with my A/V receiver so I never use it.

Purchased new about three years ago and don't think it has more than 300 hours total use.

HDMI output, SACD surround sound.

Will test the waters and see if I get any good offers (Note: I paid $1200 -full retail was about $1500).

I posted the following in 2010:

"The Sony has a problem starting discs from 00:00 unless you leave the disc tray open and press the "Play" button on the remote control. It skips a second of the program if the tray is closed when you press play".

I'd forgotten the post (and the problem) and neglected to include this information in my first listing.
The player was new and my guess is it was a sticky laser sled that worked itself out over time.
I tried to recreate the problem on 6-03-12 but couldn't; The XA5400ES worked perfectly.
Based on this testing, I consider the former problem a non-issue.
