Wyred 4 Sound mPRE/mAMP Custom Components

Purchased last year specifically to be modified into a very high-end trio with a diminutive footprint so it could be used in a desktop setting with no compromise in SQ & power. From previous testing I had specifically chosen these components to work with due to their combined power, compact size & and "green" efficiency.
 
All 3 W4S components received 3 Symposium Acoustics HDSE Rollerblock Jr Isolation feet assemblies with Grade 10 Tungsten ball bearings. Each footer assembly runs $100  and 9 were required to do the trio ($900 total less labor). Each required drilling/tapping the W4S chassis to use a brass 6X24 SAE machine screw threads with 1/4X20 SAE threaded Rollerblock adapters at the opposite end. 6X24 threads were chosen at the component end as that's the same threading used on the W4S OEM rubber damping feet which are also included and can be seen in the picture featuring cords, cables, remote and owners manuals, etc. This allows some tweaking/tuning if desired between OEM and high-end isolation and provides for the most dynamic isolation possible. mPRE amp received 2 Synergistic Research Quantum Red fuses ($90 each). One replacing the OEM power supply fuse and one replacing the OEM fuse on the digital board ($180 total excluding labor).

Both mAMPs also had their power supply fuses replaced w/SR Quantum Red fuses ($180 less labor). Additionally their internal speaker wires were replaced with Crystal Cables "Ultra" speaker wires. These are 97% 5n silver/3% pure gold solid core wires. This is a $12k pair of 2M speaker wires when purchased new. I used two 7.5" lengths of CC Ultra internally in each mAMP which would cost $625 in each mAMP if you could purchase 30" of this wire separately. Since my speakers are only 9 feet apart I was able to shorten each of 4 speaker wires by 7.5" of 'slack' from each speaker wire pair which is valued at a little over $312 for each 7.5" length of internal speaker wire without moving the speakers closer together at all. The Crystal Cable Ultra internal speaker wires were installed in the W4S mAMPs using high-end Molex plug terminations and WBT silver solder. All VERY tastefully/professionally done!    
 
WBT 0710Ag pure silver speaker binding posts were used to replace the W4S OEM speaker binding posts. WBT 0710Ag is the highest-end/most expensive binding post WBT makes running $492 per set of 4. Labor for all the above modifications easily surpassed $500 but was intentionally omitted from listed "original retail" pricing in ad. The SQ results of these modifications is nothing short of staggering as compared to OEM right outta-of-the box!  
 
Each custom addition in this setup was purposefully selected based on previous experience and familiarity with use on similar and/or identical systems and known to foster a dramatic sonic enhancement when used individually yet dramatically better when combined than the sum total of individual parts that take these components to another level altogether! Huge soundstage, deep, tall and wide. Ultra revealing! Makes hearing musical detail for the first time an everyday occurrence... even on familiar tracks! Incredibly true-to-source with virtually non existent noise floor. A delight to listen to for extended periods with zero fatigue. "Green", refined & powerful... in standby, power consumption is less than 0.5w with idle power loss under 10 watts yet offers up 250W@8Ohm, 340W@6Ohm, 430W@4Ohm!
 
Everything is included that came with the W4S components when purchased... manuals, remote, dual shipping containers etc. All OEM power cords are unused as I prefer my own high-end cords, cables & interconnects. All components cosmetically inspected under 8X magnification and quality lighting before packing for shipment with no flaws found. Rated 9 for use and conservatism. Took 3 months to build this trio and only used for 90 days from March to June of 2015 when my Devialet 200 arrived at end of June 2015.
