Onkyo M-588 Amplifier Very Rare and MINT

I am pleased to offer this like new Onkyo M-588 amplifier in the rare champagne anodized face with wood side panels. This M-588 comes complete with the original owner's manual. This amp retailed for $2,300 when new in 1993 and is the finest 2 channel audiophile amplifier Onkyo ever made. Seriously, this is the real deal- a world class very high-end amplifier that was a statement model for Onkyo and from my perspective, will hold it's own with the very best. I have owned some nice Accuphase gear and the build of this Onkyo is in that category. This beast weighs 68 lbs and has a rated output of 200 wpc at 8 ohms. Speaking of which, here's a quote from the Vintage Knob concerning the M-588's output: "the M-588 is a true powerhouse, stable down to 2 Ohm and with square wave skewing of only 11% at 40Hz and... 0% at 1Khz !" They do a great job of explaining exactly why the M-588 is such a special and truly high-end amplifier as well as provide detailed specs. This M-588 is in mint, flawless and I mean looks like brand new condition! I acquired this from the original owner who bought it new in Japan when he had military duty there. He used it very little and it truly appears like new. Let me reiterate how rare it is to see a unit such as this specific M-588 I am offering. First of all, most every M-588 you will see in the USA is the M-588F which is the black faced version and has the black synthetic composite side panels. Champagne faced M-588's w/ wood side panels are almost never seen in the USA, AND if they do pop up, they are usually European or Japanese voltage units. This one is the very rare multi-voltage M-588 and is set to USA 120V. Secondly, to find a champagne faced USA voltage M-588 in like new condition like this particular M-588 might not happen again for a long time. Finally, I am very experienced at packing high-end audio equipment so rest assured that I will take extreme measures to ensure this 68 lb amplifier's safe delivery to the new owner.
