McIntosh MC-250 Stereo Power Amplifier Excellent Condition

McIntosh MC-250 Solid State Power amplifier in excellent cosmetic and working condition. The unit was recently checked by a technician and it operates flawlessly. This is the best condition MC-250 I have come across. It is not 100% museum perfect but I would rate it as near mint condition. No obvious flaws, scratches, rust, peeling or other surprises. The unit also sounds fantastic with strong balanced sound from both channels.

The McIntosh MC-250 was the first solid state amp by McIntosh and it was voiced to sound like their classic tube amps. It has a beefy tube like sound with well controlled bass. It's a workhorse and built to last, rated conservatively at 50 watts rms per channel, and can be bridged at 100 watts. Although rated at 50 wpc the MC-250 actually puts out much higher wpc output than the rated specs. It also has separate gain controls for each channel which allow you to run a cd player, tuner, tape deck, etc., right into the amp without a pre amp if you prefer to use the shortest signal path..
