McIntosh MC-2200 Stereo Power Amplifier 200 WPC

McIntosh MC-2200 Solid State Power Amplifier in very good working condition and very good cosmetic condition.

The unit is in very good overall cosmetic condition. It has few minor scratches consistent with age, but nothing major or distracting. The front faceplate is in good shape; the silver top section is excellent and and the lower black section of the faceplate also looks good but a small section of the black paint was touched up towards the lower left section. It is not really noticeable unless you look very close up. The amp presents very good to excellent overall.

The amp sounds excellent with strong balanced sound from both channels. The MC-2200 is conservatively rated at 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms or 400 watts into 4 ohms. This was a well-maintained unit and the original owner had the amp maintained by authorized Mcintosh service center Analogique Service Lab in New York city. I understand it was last serviced and checked by Analogique about 8 years ago. There is no scratchiness or static in the gain-volume controls. The only minor issue is one of the two front lamp bulbs recently burned out. This does not affect sound or performance and of course it can be replaced if desired. This is a very heavy amplifier weighing nearly 80 lbs. The packed shipping weight will be close to 100 lbs.
