Krell KRC-HR Dual Chassis Stereo Preamp with Phono, Like New In Box

For sale is a Krell KRC-HR dual chassis preamp.  Unit looks and functions as new.  Do your research.  This is one of the finest preamps ever made.  Original cost was $7,000 plus $1,000 for the phono option.   Today, a comparable preamp is way over $10,000.   The preamp is considered to be the most critical aspect of a high end audio system, and this one sounds superb.

This item looks and functions as new.  A few years ago, I spent $1,000 to have Krell refurbish it as new, and it has seen only a few hours per week of use, in a well ventilated, clean, smoke free room.  Included are a printed manual, a Krell remote, an AC power cord, and a cable that connects the two chassis.   PLEASE NOTE that the remote doesn’t work.  I don’t know if it’s the battery contacts or what.  I never used the remote, maybe it sat for too long.  I’ve always used universal remotes.  There has never been any problem adjusting the volume with all three of my very inexpensive universal remotes.  Simply enter or search for the appropriate code and it works fine.
