For Sale: One used Exposure XIX line level (no phono section inside) preamp in nice shape with box, packing, and manual.

Exposure is a VERY well respected brand from the UK and their products consistently get rave reviews in the European press.

I can see why.

This preamp is so beautifully made that I HAD to photograph the inside so you can see for yourself.

The parts are all VERY high quality, the volume control is a very good one, the jacks are sturdy, and they even damped the inside of the top cover for vibration absorption.

It's about as close to a noiseless preamp as I have heard this side of $5000.

This model has no remote control.

I attached it to a nice Marantz power amplifier and, with the volume FULL UP on the Exposure, I could hear NO HISS unless I put my ear directly in front of the KEF speaker’s tweeter I tested it with.

Your amp’s sensitivity might mean it will be a tad more or less quiet than my test, but, in any event, it’s one of the quietest preamps I have ever tested.

It also sounds smooth as silk. It sounds a LOT like a tube preamp.

It weighs much more than most preamps, too, due to the size of the power supply, which is a large as some 75 Watt power amplifiers.

It also has both regular RCA (phono, unbalanced) output jacks and XLR (balanced) outputs.

There are lots of inputs, including CD, TUNER, TAPE1, TAPE2, AUX1 and AUX2.

Actually anything can plug into any of these, such as a DVD, IPOD, etc…everything but a turntable.
