For Sale: One Pair of Classe CA-M400 Solid State Monoblock Power Amplifiers, amplifiers with massive power, high current, very detailed sound at even very low volumes, and drop-dead beauty.

They are used, and in VERY shape, and come with the boxes, packing, fabric bag, power cords, and manuals. Both the cords and manuals appear to have never been opened.

Each amp has a few minute blemishes, and each blemish was so small that me camera could not photograph them clearly.

In other words, they are not MINT, but darn close!

This amp will work well with any great speaker, but would be a SUPER match to a set of B&W speakers. The two companies are attached at the hip and their products are designed with each other’s in mind. They make beautiful music together.

Each amp is rated at 400 Watts into 8-Ohms and 800 Watts into 4-Ohms.

Distortion, at .005%, will never be an issue.

When most B&W speakers dip to 3.2-Ohms in the bass, this amp is ready and delivers about 900 Watts per amp continuous power at that impedance.

Even the shipping carton is top-notch-quality. It’s made or multi-layer PLASTIC so it will not deteriorate, and the pieces FOLD OUT when opened to make the amp easier to pack and unpack. This might be the best shipping carton design I have ever seen in 30+ years in the business.

These amps have enough power and current delivery to get top performance from any speaker you can think of.

The construction in this amp is first rate. It’s a model of neatness inside.

Each amp has great a number of transistors per channel so each transistor is never stressed. It has both Balanced and Unbalanced inputs.

This amp has MASSIVE speaker terminals, they are insulated for safety, and there are two sets to make bi-wiring simple.

THE SOUND:

Like the other Classe amp in this series, the standout feature is the ability “open up” at extremely low volumes.

The highs are smooth, the mids are detailed, and the bass goes very deep…all without having to “crank it up” unlike many other high-power amplifier brands.

Construction-wise, this amp is like a brick. All the metalwork is first-rate, and the heat-sinks are HUGE to keep the transistors cool, withOUT needing fans.

These amps are heavy. Each is 94 pounds after packing.

They have been tested. They come with no warranty, refunds, or exchanges.
