Chord Electronics Ltd. SPM-1200b Two channel power amplifier

Only second owner. 7/10 for age. Used only in a careful non-smoking audiophile listening room driving my Wilson Sophia’s. Bought it from my father as he upgraded to bigger amps. Always carefully used and not many hours on the system. This has been an amazing amp as I used a variety of brands from sim audio to marantz to bel canto mono blocks before I settled on these for the last four years. It’s simply time to move on as I am getting a new system.

The Chord SPM 1200B power amplifier sounds very refined, having extended details and resolution along with enormous power. It is incredibly neutral, powerful, and yet delicate. The projected soundstage is also huge, enveloping and rock solid, satisfying in almost all sonic aspects. This amplifier is well suited for electrostatics and planars or speakers with low impedance.
