The new Emerald amp is an exceptional $1600.00, 100 watts per channel power amplifier that can be strapped mono to 250 watts for future upgradability. The first reviews will be out later this year. Beta testers have compared it to amps selling for over $5000.00 and picked the new Emerald.

Benchmark, price/performance leader, giant-killer… call the Cambridge Audio DacMagic Plus anything you’d like, but the bottom line is that it can deliver a surprisingly high level of performance and ergonomic elegance at a price that will leave plenty of money left over for the other components in your system." Playback April 2012
