Often described as one of the quietest, most neutral preamps on the market. At $4490 back in 2004, this product was expensive for the time. This particular unit has the built in phono stage described below. It paired beautifully well with my Halo JC-1's and VPI SuperScoutmaster with a MySonicLabs UltraEminence BE. It ties in very well with a great programmable remote and a home theater bypass which enables it to play front left and right with a home theater set up. Great, great preamp.

An excerpt from a review as described by Vade Forrester Soundstage:
Conclusion: The Bel Canto Pre2P is a remarkably transparent preamp. It is incredibly quiet, affording the listener abundant real detail. The phono stage is as good as any I have heard, easily bettering my Audio Note An-S3/M2 Phono Signature combination.
If you seek a two channel preamp, especially one with a killer phono stage, the Bel Canto Pre2P is an important one to check out.

Questions for the seller
I don't think the Pre2P has home theater bypass. If it does, please tell me how to enable it. I know the Pre3 has this feature on input 5.
Technically you are correct. However, the inputs are assignable and you can preset the volume cue at a high enough level and have your surround sound preamp control all attenuation. In my set up, I had a Halo C1 controller outputting left and right via balanced interconnects to the Pre2P. The Pre2P then fed balanced outputs to the JC-1 Monoblocks each feeding a front speaker. The C1 controller also fed via balanced outputs the surround channel information to a 5 channel Halo amp. Worked perfectly with complete volume control across all platforms.
