This is an Audio Design Associates (ADA) Cinema Rhapsody Mach II home theater pre/pro with version 3.57 firmware in the rarely-found Select Series (no rack-mount ears/handles). It's in excellent condition cosmetically (one light scratch on the back of the top of the case - see close-up photo) and it works flawlessly. This is a great sounding piece and in my opinion, if you don't need HDMI connectivity, it's one of the best values out there as far as home theater pre/pros go. A lot of people don't realize it, but the Mach II Rhapsody pre/pro's sound identical to the Mach III's and Mach IV's. Only the Mach I's used different DAC's. I actually prefer the Mach II's over the Mach III's as the Mach II's have a 7.1 channel analog input versus the Mach III's which only have a 5.1 channel input. This 7.1 channel analog bypass allows you to connect your SACD or Blu-Ray player and experience the various high-resolution audio formats. Included with this pre/pro is a $150 custom RCA to DB-25 cable that you will need to connect to the multi-channel analog input. Also included is the power cord and a CD-ROM containing the owner's manual in PDF format and ADA's software that allows you to program the unit via PC, rather than the front panel. To use the software you will either need an ADA ISO-CAT II to connect between the computer and pre/pro, or you can modify one end of a 9-pin serial cable and connect directly from your PC to the ADA bus on the back of the pre/pro. (I will be happy to provide you with the pin-out information if you want to make your own cable. I do not have the original box, but it will be packed very securely.
