Amazingly transparent phono stage that will reveal everything in the chain.  So much so that one MUST use good shielded ICs and power conditioning (preferably re-synthesized AC) or else it can amplify all sorts of ground hum and noise.  It is SO sensitive.  And the DC adjust can be a pain for the first day or two (while it settles).  But, as any Ferrari owner will tell you, it is the price of admission for such a precision instrument.  I can't imagine that there is a purer phono stage out there, so direct is the signal path here.  All hand wired, point-to-point, no circuit board (as in the signature), no led, no on/off switch, no nothing...nothing, but analog bliss.

I believe the new V.2 of this retails for a whopping $24,500!  Has much changed inside?  Well, not sure how much could have...so few, and top-shelf, are the components here and so simple the circuit.

Please note that Lloyd Walker decided to add two more discs to the Reference AFTER this was purchased so this one comes with two less than is sometimes seen in pics.  The loading is fixed at 1k, but can be changed by Walker.  Sounded sublime with my Zyx Universe.

It looks pretty good to my eyes.  A few smudges/marks here and there but nothing super glaring.  There's some discolorations on the front plate of power supply that might buff out.  It is a hand-made unit so was never gonna be perfect cosmetically.  I think pics accurately show it's condition.  Also, there are the usual spike indentations on the pucks.

I'll cover domestic insured ground and PP fee.
