MIRAGE MRM-1 MONITOR SPEAKERS

Hard to find Mirage MRM-1 monitors. Mirage set out to make a statement with the MRM-1. Cost was no object with the design of this speaker. Ian Paisley and Andrew Welker wrote that the MRM-1 project goals were not only achieved, but exceeded and their names are on the back plate. There is not enough room here to describe in detail all the features of these speakers, like the 1" thick Corian front baffle, the cabinet and driver construction, Cardas internal wiring and binding posts.. There are several excellent reviews to be found on line including one from Stereophile. The sound and imaging from these small monitors is amazing. H 13" X W 7 9/16" X D 10 7/8". Due to the special cabinet construction they weigh a hefty 35 lbs each. I have had many speakers in my 30 years as an audiophile and I have never heard a small speaker anything like the MRM-1.  Here are the specs: Freq. 40Hz -22Hz +/- 3db. Efficiency 85 dB, Imp. 8ohms; crossover 1.8Hz, Tweeter 1" Pure Titanium Hybrid, Woofer 5 1/2" Carbon, Graphite and Mica. I hate to part with them but I have way too many speakers and no way to use these. I have the factory crates. Shipping will be expensive as each speaker packed weighs approx. 55 lbs. I will include the stands at my asking price. These are not the factory stands, but are a good match color wise. Speakers and stands are a light cherry.  Please check my feedback. Rating is because of age. Speakers are in excellent condition. Pickup in the Atlanta area is welcome. Would consider trade for AKG K1000 headphones.
