These speakers are truly amazing. The speakers themselves are flawless and the pictures do not do them justice. The designated stands (with the unique suspension system) have scuffing, hence the 7 rating (see pictures). The scuffing was not noticeable in my room when set up.
Despite their size, they produce solid and detailed bass down to the mid 30s. The midrange is pure magic and the highs are nicely extended without harshness. They image and soundstage in credibly well. Stereomojo's review concluded that they are the best small speakers for 2014 and would be the steal of the century even if EA charged 2k more for them. There are also many show reports praising them.
They will be shipped with the original wooden crates (and are already packed). They are very heavy. Each speaker weighs 30 pounds (completely inert) and the stands are around 50 pounds each. Due to the weight, I have listed a $125 flat rate for shipping wihtin the continental US.
Questions for the seller |

Hi Mike,
I am selling them because my basement listening room is really small (10x12 with low celings) and it works much better wih front ported speakers. I have had no luck with any rear ported speakers as they get boomy in the bass. I thought the Evolutions would be better than previous attempts due to their size, but they are very potent in the lower register and I had no such luck. I have had the same problem with high end Dali and every other good rear ported speakers I have tried.
I still had a hard time deciding to sell them as they are very musical with incredible tonality and soundstaging. They also excelent on inner details. They are gorgeous to look at. The pictures do not do them justice.
I bought them on Agon about four months ago to compare to a pair of Acoustic Zen Adagios. I am keeping the Adagios as they are front ported so they integrate better in my room despite being much larger. I am not sure how old they are, but production started in 2013, so they can't be more than a few years old at most. The sturdy wooden should ensure shipping without drama.
Thanks for the question
Peter Oops, the second question should have been my answer to the first question. |
