Selling my legendary Mark Levinson ML-3 Amp because I wanted to change my speaker setup in a new AV specific room, and decided to go with smaller monoblock power amps and a pre-amp processor instead of this 2ch setup. It's a great Amp that sounds incredible and will drive almost any speaker, further technical details below. I recently had it checked out by a local CT authorised dealer (I can provide the invoice for the buyer - cost me over $400 just to get it checked out!) who found no issues aside from a slightly loose RCA connector on one of the inputs, so all is good and no need for any component updates etc. This specific one has a nice plexi-glass top plate so you can see all of the components inside, I've seen a couple like this where people also added LED lights inside for a cool effect, but my one is unmodified.

Thanks for looking and please feel free to ask away if you have any other questions.

I also have a pair of perfectly matched MIT Terminator2 Bi-Wire speaker cables that I would consider including for a very attractive additional amount to sweeten the deal.

ML-3 is 200 watt per channel dual monaural Class AB2 power amplifier that used toroidal transformers. Produced between 1979 and 1987, the ML-3 consisted of two electrically separate amplifiers in one chassis, hence the name "Dual Monaural". It also featured discrete circuit construction; no integrated circuits were incorporated to keep the signal pure. The design was by Thomas P. Colangelo.

Specifications:

  • 200 W/channel at 8 ohms, 400 W/ch at 4 ohms, 800 W/ch at 2 ohms
  • Maximum output: 45 volts 30 amperes
  • Two 1.2 kVA Avel Lindbergh toroidal transformers, 4 Sprague 36,000 µF, 100 V capacitors and 40 output devices (20 per channel)
  • Range: 20 Hz to 20 kHz with less than 0.2% total harmonic distortion
  • Gold-plated CAMAC input connectors
  • Weight: 116 lb (56 kg)
