Wilson Audio Sophia Speakers FOR LOCAL PICKUP IN NYC

We’re Stereo Exchange, located in New York City. We've been in business since the 1970s and are a major high-end dealer. We have all the current top brands on display in our huge showroom.

This auction is for a pair of used Wilson SOPHIA speakers in “charcoal” or “graphite” (we are not a Wilson dealer so we don’t know exactly what THEY might call the color).

---The sound great (no news there)

---The cloth grills look good

---The drivers look fine

---We have all the hardware shown in the photo to go with them

---They had some scratches on them that have been touched up.

With gloss speakers, I simply can’t get a good photo.

If I use strong lighting, it’s all reflections!

If I use dim light, the photos are grainy.

This makes the touched-up blemishes almost impossible to photograph, though I DID include what is, to me eye, by far the WORST blemish.

• These speakers are for LOCAL PICKUP ONLY at our store in New York City, so you can always come by to see them.
  

Please do not ask us to ship the speakers.

We cannot take the risk of that.

Instead, we are setting to reserve very low, since we know that we are limiting ourselves to a smaller market of those who can drive into New York City to pick up their speaker.

The bad news: You will need to pay Sales Tax on them.

The good news: Katz’s Deli is only a short distance from our store. After eating one of their fabulous pastrami sandwiches you won’t even care about paying tax on your new fabulous speakers.

The purpose of this sale is to move the speakers out with a RESERVE price so low that LOCAL Audiogoners will find them irresistible.

They are also NOT available for audition in the store.

It’s not that we are being mean, it’s that, if they were in the store in the USED department, they would be priced DRAMATICALLY higher than here, and we would be happy to let you hear them.

Please do NOT ask us to ship them.

Please do not ask if you can come in and hear them.

You certainly CAN come by to look at them!

PRICING:

When new they were $11,000/pr.

• We are setting the RESERVE at $3288.00 for the pair.

Things to know…

These are being sold with no warranty, refunds, or exchanges.

They have been tested and sound great.

You can pay online with Paypal, or in the store with cash or a credit card.

We are open seven days a week for easy pickup at the store.

We require payment with four days of the close of the auction.

If you are going to pay with a credit card and it will be longer than four days before you pick them up, we will require payment with a credit card over the phone, or by Paypal, to hold the speaker.

The speakers are for local pickup only in New York City at 627 Broadway, in Greenwich Village.

Sales tax will be charged since you will pick them up at the store.
