Sonus Faber Amati Futura in Red Violin Finish

Up for sale is a pair of Sonus Faber Amati Futura full-range loudspeakers in Red Violin / Nickel finish. I first purchased these speakers in 2011 and I love them dearly, but sadly I'm looking to downsize due to an upcoming move.

I would conservatively rate the speakers a 7/10 on condition. The wood and metal finishes and the speaker drivers themselves are all in excellent condition, with no significant scratches or blemishes that I can find. However, in the interest of full disclosure, my cat must have gotten his claws into the leather on the front baffle of both speakers a little bit -- fortunately the damage is minimal, consisting of a few very small pinholes / perforations in the leather (but no scratches). There is no damage to the speaker drivers or their rubber surrounds, or to the wood finish on the sides. An example of the perforations is shown in the photo with the red arrows pointing to them to give you an idea. There are maybe 5-6 small claw marks like this in total. You can't see the marks at all if the grilles are on, and even if the grilles are off, you have to be looking closely to see them. Ultimately the speakers are still in great condition, and this is an excellent chance to pick up a pair of these beautiful and beautiful-sounding speakers for close to 50% off the retail price.

I'm asking for $17,000 for the pair of speakers. The price is negotiable, so feel free to make an offer! The speakers would come in the original boxes with owner's manual, grilles, and covers. Shipping would be via UPS or FedEx and would have to be by freight (unfortunately, one speaker in its box is about 9 pounds over the weight limit for standard shipping). Strong preference would be given to local pickup, and I would be willing to negotiate a good discount if the buyer can pick up locally.
