Serenity Acoustics Super-7

The Super-7 is an all open baffle design using planar magnetic drivers covering the ranges of 200Hz and above and using dual 12" servo controlled woofers for the lower ranges. The ranges from 200Hz to 2.5kHz are covered by four large planar magnetic drivers with the speed an clarity similar to the best electrostatic speakers. Unlike electrostatic panels the planar magnetic drivers hand off to a smaller planar magnetic tweeter to maintain a very even and balanced off axis response. The tweeter is loaded in a small waveguide for controlled directivity and extended low frequency coverage range. And all of these are on an open baffle with almost identical front and rear wave propagation patterns and amplitude. All of this minimizes room interactions at right angles to the speakers with a very controlled and balance pattern in each direction. The servo controlled woofers handling the ranges below 200Hz are powered by their own amplification. And this patented servo control technology puts them a level above and beyond all previously available servo control systems. And when adding that technology to an open baffle design it makes it very unique in a market where no other servo control system exists for open baffle applications. This allows the woofers to not only have the speed and clarity capabilities to match up with the extremely fast planar magnetic drivers, but it also allows them to play flat to 20Hz and hit a -3db down point in the teens. And all of this with unmatched control and stopping power. The open baffle design also minimizes room loading and room boom associated with boxed designs. The upper section in this design is the only thing being powered by the customers amplification. And the design of this upper section makes then uniquely easy to drive. The planar magnetic drivers are a purely resistive load. There is no inductive rise or reactance for the amplifier to have to deal with. It is an easy and stable load with a minimum impedance dip to 4 ohms. And since the upper section has 97db sensitivity it can easily be driven with even low wattage tube amps. This is a dream speaker for single ended tube amp lovers. And with the supplied in line RCA high pass filter and signal splitter all the customer needs is a single pair of outputs from their pre-amp to power their main amp and both left and right servo amps. Internal parts used in the Super-7 are all top notch. All inductors are Erse XQ air core. Signal caps are Sonicaps and by-passed with Sonicap Platinum's. There are no resistors present in the signal path. Wiring is high purity OFC in polyethylene and is connected directly to the drivers and crossovers with no additional connectors. Even the input uses the Electra Cable tube connectors. These are superior to all binging posts currently made by any company at any price. We firmly believe in using the best parts possible across the board, and this is just one more thing that separates these speakers from all others. These are not sold through dealers and do not have dealer markups. They are ordered directly from Serenity Acoustics. So prices are considerably less than if they were sold through conventional dealer chains. They are also built to order. So each customer can pick their finish colors. They were shipped in fitted wooden crates. I can't remember how much they weigh and can deliver a reasonable distance. I have had pretty much every type of speaker including big Sound Labs, Quad 63's, Avantgarde Trios and numerous cone speakers and these have the highest resolution, nicest bass and integrate into the room better. You get the best of all worlds. The speed of planers, no box distortion of dynamic speakers, built in subwoofers that are more clean than any box sub and high efficiency so any amp will work.
