The KAS Loudspeaker, (PBN's acronym for KICK ASS SPEAKER) is a perfect description for the sound of this system. The massive 6'-tall vented enclosure houses a four-way, seven-driver array consisting of two 12" woofers, custom made by McCauley Sound in Washington State, (a large Pro Audio manufacturer), two 7" ScanSpeak mid-woofers, two 4" ScanSpeak Kevlar midrange drivers, and a 1" Montana ScanSpeak Revelator tweeter. With a frequency response reaching to the lower limits of the audio range, this speaker has bass you can feel.

I have been using this speaker for both Stereo and Home Theater and it sounds great either way.  Frequency Range: 20Hz – 22kHz Sensitivity: (dB/2.831m) – 93 Power Handling: 800W Crossover Points (Hz): 80/500/4000, Woofers: 2 ea. 12" / 2 ea. 7", Mid-Range: 2 ea. 4", Tweeter: 1" Montana Revelator, Size (H x W x D): 70" x 20" x 23", Each KAS weighs 380 lbs. 420 pounds when crated. 

I have been driving these speakers with a McIntosh MC500, 500 Watt per channel, Class AB, Solid State Stereo Amplifier. It's the only amplifier I have ever used with this pair of speakers along with only bi-wiring this beast. Each speaker has built in casters, so they can be rolled around on flat surfaces relatively easily. At the base of each speaker, on the corner is a knob that allows one to level the speaker, left and right, back and forth. Once the speaker is leveled the spikes at the end of the knob allow the speaker to couple with the floor beneath it. I do have cups that can be placed under the spikes if leveling the speakers on Hardwood flooring or other delicate surfaces. They will be included and shipped with the speakers. A speaker set-up manual is also included.

Speakers were purchased NEW from the Sound Station in March, 2007. I am the original owner. Speakers are in excellent condition. I have the original crates and accessories. The speakers do not have any dings, dents or scratches. The finish of the speakers are in Rosewood. Any artifacts that you see in the images are from the camera.
