High quality German engineered. These floorstanders flat out make music. They are 43 inches high by 9 inches wide. They’re a shade over 12 inches deep at the top, but swoop down to 16 inches at the bottom, with the front baffle slanted for time alignment of the drivers. These Toscas are all finished in birch veneer .The cabinets are pretty solid pieces of woodwork, with extensive internal bracing and WBT binding posts. 

Chief designer Axel Gersdorff and his team took several years to develop the Odeons. The tweeter driver has high sensitivity and achieves "the best linearity within its frequency band." Its spherical horn is shaped to "optimize and smooth the driver’s frequency response, minimize beaming and allow a wide dispersion pattern." The Toscas have what is called a floor mounted horn throat design for the bass driver, which allows the loudspeakers to fit in all room configurations.   Metal spikes are also included, which can be screwed on to the bottom of the plinth. Bass is full and powerful when called upon.  The Toscas have warm balance which nicely complements fast electronics. Pianos are reproduced both delicate and clean. The texture of wooden instruments really comes through. Congas and timbales sound lightning fast. Vocals have a natural texture, with no glare or undue sibilance. They sound rich but detailed, with just the right touch of liveliness. To put it another way, the midrange of these speakers is one of their greatest strengths. Anything in the mids, from guitars to voice to the middle ranges of the piano, sound great.

These speakers have the ability to let you hear way into a recording, yet music sounds natural and whole.  They present music without calling attention to themselves. These speakers are well-built, look good and offer innovative and unique engineering. 

This particular set has a factory upgraded outboard cross-over network with high quality silver plated/teflon coated jumpers. These are approximately 8 years old and I am the original owner. Condition is good and has very little in the ways of blemishes. The only nic clearly visible is in the bottom/side edge of one of the speakers (see photo). 

Owners manual and original packing not available. Each speaker is approximately 80 lbs. I will carefully pack this speakers but after boxing they really should be shipped on a pallet. I estimate freight to be around $300 to $500 depending on destination. Local pick up welcome.
