KEF 104/2 Speakers in Great Condition

This is relist as my earlier amended listing had mistakenly been set to end at 1am.

Up for bid is a pair of classic 3-way KEF Reference Series Model 104/2 speakers. These are floor standing speakers in excellent condition overall. Cabinets are dark Santos Rosewood finish. Includes the KEF Kube equalizer to extend response down to 20Hz.

They look and sound great, however the "donut" dustcaps covering the interior woofers have disintigrated. To my ear, the missing dustcaps do not affect the sound, but they can be replaced using kits available from many online sources. I have included photos that show how the "donut" dustcaps should look on the woofers and of the woofers in these particular 104/2's being sold here which are missing the "donut" dustcaps.

Model 104/2 was a high output, high sensitivity speaker system possessing
exceptional dynamic capability, able to reproduce a very wide dynamic range at high output levels. The optional KEF KUBE equalizer was available to extend the low frequency response down to 20Hz (-6dB, Q=0.5). Technical features included chassis-less midrange units, conjugate load matching and the twin coupled cavity bass reproduction system.

Local pickups are encouraged. Shipping weight for each speaker is about 80 lbs. These speakers will be packed one speaker per box and will be packed with care as though I was going to be the recipient.

The shipping calculator can calculate the cost for only one speaker.

Therefore, you will have to double the calculated shipping cost to cover two speakers being shipped. There will be a $45 per speaker charge for FedEx professionally packing using their Fragile Pack method. No packing cost for local pickup.
