JBL M9500 horn speakers, also known as the K-2 project. The listed price is the final cost you pay and includes the follwoing: 1. a pair of the M9500 2. a pair of MX9500 outboard crossover 3. a pair of super tweeter 4. other upgraded cables Each channel consists of THREE modules and an outboard crossover network, weighing around 135Kg (160 lbs) Crating and Shipping to US & Canada will cost around $3500. Shipping for other areas will be quoted for the actual nominal cost. These were JBL’s flag-ship back in the mid 1990’s. The upper frequency (over 800Hz) is covered by the true compression horn of 4” large caliver. The lower frequency is reproduced by two 14 woofers per channel, which are enclosed in separate cabinets. The crossovers are the outboard design which incorporates many state-of-the-art features such as the automatic bias balancing. The original textured gray finish is deteriorated (normal for that kind of finish to deteriorate in about 20 yrs) and has some scratches around the enclosure. No factory box but heavy-duty crates can be built for safe shipping. Original Monster hook up cables between crossover and spks included. The upper frequency cable is upgraded with a thick 6N copper cable. One pair of high performance super tweeter is included and these tweeters improve the ambience and the soundstage. The cable for the super tweeter is made of gold-alloy for sweeter and warmer tonality. These upgrade costed me more than $2.5K. Original retail in the mid 1990's: $35,000 (4,760,000 yen), current JBL horn flagship is now $90k. Upgrade cost: $2500 Own a piece of audio history. PAYPAL FEE is EXTRA. If other payment is desired, let me know for the payment method change through the Audiogon system.

Questions for the seller
What is the rated wattage? -What is the weight of one speaker?
Hi Phillip It can take as many wattages as you can provide, although it does not need high power with its 95dB sensitivity. Each channel weighs 286 lbs.
