Avantgarde Acoustic SUB220 Uno , Duo , Trio subwoofer pair for horn speakers

For sale is a pair of earlier (circa 2000) type SUB220 Avantgarde Acoustics active subwoofers . This particular pair was used with TRIO speakers but I would imagine it can be incorporated in any Avantgarde configuration as a support subs or in about any horn system (all/most of them in home acceptable size suffer from bass deficiency from my experience) Subs are in really good operating and cosmetic condition. They offer "stand- by feature" which turns the power on once the music starts to play . Also only high level speaker input is available -this to mimic your main amp characteristics troughout the bass range and keep the sound uniform as much as possible . Variable crossover has a range of 60-220Hz /12dB . They come with power cords and floor spikes. Subs are heavy but not in any way humongous so shipping although not cheap by any means should not be a deal breaker. They will not visually dominate your listening room and scare your partner. PS Even though this listing is for a pair I have four of them available and I'm willing to make a better deal for all of them. They would be a period match and "economy" (in Avantgarde scale and meaning of this word) bass solution for bare Trio horns listed on this site if complete original AV setup is your goal. The cabs don't have the side inserts to attach the Duo frame. You would have to install them , if you consider the subs for DUO horns .
