Excellent 3 way floor standing speakers made in Finland. Purchased from an authorized dealer They are heavy and strikingly beautiful with cabinets that measure 43"x14"x6.5" and include heavy metal bracing stands and spikes. In excellent condition. These are very detailed and expressive. They feature rear firing ports for the midrange and base drivers, and come with foam baffles to dampen the sound. They also incorporate a base attenuation switch on the back that drops the base by -1.5db.. The woofers fire to the side and can be placed either right or left depending on preference. Amphion uses its patented Uniform Directivity Diffusion technology to increase its speakers' directivity, thereby minimizing the reflected sound from your room's nearby surfaces and the many negative affects of your room acoustics. The Creon2 benefits from this technology for all frequencies above 150 Hz.
This increased directivity also allows the Creon to be placed where few speakers would sound acceptable. Going one step further in flexibility, Amphion's Bass Adjustment System allows the Creon's bass response to be tailored to preference.
