TOTALDAC D-1 TUBE 230V world's finest NOS tube DAC

Mint condition TotalDac D-1 Tube purchased new in April 2014.

DAC is presently wired for 230V operation but can easily be rewired for 110V.

I did not opt to have the USB option as I felt a DAC of this caliber deserves a separate high-end USB converter.  I've had excellent results with Audiophilleo+battery pack and the SoTM USB converter with super clock and battery pack, but ultimately ended up settling on the Berkeley Alpha USB.  Remote control for convenience along with a volume control that is amazingly quiet and accurate -- it'd be a waste to have a preamp get in the way of this beautiful sounding DAC.

The DAC is modular and USB in and DSD options can easily be retrofitted.  It can also easily be upgraded to the Mk 2 or the top of the line D1-Six Tube.

Plenty of fabulous reviews and plaudits on TotalDac.  Lots of 12AU7 NOS varieties around to enjoy tube-rolling to get the sound you want.

The price of entry for a Toatldac d-1 tube DAC has now surpassed the $11k mark. This is a great opportunity to own what is most likely the best NOS tube DAC around. And one doesn't find this DAC appear on the used market often -- very rare and a very special digital component.

NOS pair of extremely rare Mazda 6189/12AU7 triple-mica chrome plate tubes available separately for $150.  These tubes are a splendid enhancement for the DAC.
