Amazing new high performance DAC from Rein Audio, their current top-of-the line model. 

Rein’s components are designed and engineered by acclaimed German audio designer Tomasz Wilczak. 

Their superb line-up features incredible sonic attributes and exceptional build quality, easy to use interfaces, and an impressive  features set.  

The X3-DAC features USB 2.0, coaxial, optical, and AES/EBU inputs all of which which support the 24 bit / 192 KHz processing of today’s top quality HD digital files.  

Very impressive, robust casework makes for a gorgeous exterior, and luxurious overall feel. 

High quality parts abound.  Internally, the X3-DAC uses a pair of Wolfson WM8741 DAC chips along with the exceptional Cirrus Logic CS8416 digital audio receiver interface.  Pairs of Texas Instruments OPA2604 and Analog Devices AD 707 op-amps are also implemented in the design.  

5 user selectable digital features are subtle, but very useful in tailoring the X3’s sonic presentation. 

Up-sampling is selectable or defeat-able.

High quality rhodium plated RCA or XLR outputs.   

The digital to analog converter chips employed are a pair of the superb Wolfson WM8740 running in tandem with a Cirrus Logic CS8416 receiver chip.

Separate power supplies are used for each channel. 

IEC input for an essential DAC upgrade path to a quality aftermarket power cable.
