Berkeley Audio Design Alpha DAC, Series 2. Rated 9 of 10. I have upgraded and no longer need this awesome unit. Robert Harley, editor of TAS, was greatly impressed by this unit, indicating that it "punches way above it's class". There are nothing but universally glowing reviews on this unit. Series 2 out performs series 1 units by a VERY wide margin. Check all the review to confirm this. Many series 1 units cannot be upgraded to series 2.
