Special price for the perfectly paired Meridian 861 preamp and Meridian 800 CD/DVD player. These were purchased together new and match up perfectly together. I will consider splitting but I am offering both for a great price.

The 861 preamp I am selling here includes the very rare and expensive phono card already installed in it as well.

This is among the best in the world cd and digital playback systems you can still buy. This combo was bought together by the original owner and are in as new condition. I just recently upgraded to the new version 6 and can tell you for the price you cannot find anything that will sound even close to this system for this price. the 861 is the only preamp i have owned over the last 10 years while auditioning, buying and selling more than a dozen other high end preamps and selling them all. Not only is the 861 a world class 2 channel preamp and functions as the best sounding DAC That I have ever heard but it also has the multiple inputs and outputs for a home theater.

The Meridian 800 cd/ dvd player is still the best sounding transport/player when matched up with the 861 that I have ever heard. Each one of these components retail for over $15,000 when new for a total of more than $30,000 for the pair. They still give you state of the art 2 channel performance today.

They both work perfectly and the 861 was just sent back to Meridian for a new power supply which cost over $800 alone
