Doge 6 Triode CD Player

Original owner. This CD player features a fully differential-balanced six-tube triode output stage. The Doge replaced an Audio Research CD 3 in my system, sounding better than the ARC at one-third the price. It is a beast that weighs 28.5 lbs., having a mirror-finish face plate (photographing the front of it was difficult as a result) and alloy posts at the corners. Like-new cosmetic condition except the top left of the faceplate shows subtle streaks from cleaning (this is visible only in direct sunlight - the faceplate and rest of the unit are otherwise perfectly clean).

The sound is dynamic and very detailed, but warm and natural. A review is available by googling "Doge 6" and "incredible sound" and "tweaks". You have to spend real money to get a clearly better CD player (I replaced it with a Playback Designs MPS-3)

Includes remote, owner's manual and extra set of upgraded new-old-stock tubes (Note: the original set of tubes still sounds great - no need to change them out yet).

I will give preference to NYC-metro pick up and will not ship outside of the U.S.
